Work and Worship Weekends
July 11, 18, and 25

  • Schedule
    • 9:00 am – Arrive and check in 
    • 9:30 – Assign groups, Thanks and Prayer
    • 10:00 – Get to work
    • 12:15 – Lunch (please bring your lunch) and worship on the lawn
    • 1:15 – Round 2 for working
    • 3:30 – Break (snacks will be provided)
    • 4:00 – Clean up  
    • 4:30 – Head home
  • General Guidelines
    • All participants under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult
    • Personal Protection must be brought 
      • Camp will provide back up gloves for volunteers as well as tools and material
      • Face masks for closer contacts
    • Everyone must bring a bag lunch 
      • Camp will not be providing any food 
      • Please be sure to respect that we are a peanut and tree nut free zone for the health and safety of all participants.
    • Free Event – however donations will be welcome
    • Inside work to be limited to 10 people or less in one space. Mask wearing OR physical distancing required
  • Projects
    • A group can adopt a project/ or a building
    • If unavailable for the weekend, groups can sign up for weekdays throughout July (Tues, Wed, or Fri)
    • Goals For Summer Projects
      • Prep all buildings for painting – camp has 3 pressure washers and will provide scrapers
        • Pressure wash 
        • Scrape
        • Minor repairs
      • Buildings we will work on
        • All dorms (excluding the Colonial View)
        • Dining Hall
        • Cavalier Building
        • Maintenance Building
      • Paint buildings – camp has 1 paint sprayer and will provide rollers and brushes
        • Main walls 
        • Trim 
      • Picnic tables and benches – camp will provide sandpaper and materials
        • Repair as needed
        • Pressure wash and sand 
        • Water seal
      • Bunk removal 
        • Removing extra bunks from dorms to allow more open spacing
        • Label each bunk and parts
        • Store mattresses and bunk parts
      • Dining Hall – for skilled labor
        • Help complete renovation project in dining hall
        • This will depend on where we are with the process at the point of these weekends
      • Canteen upgrades – skilled labor
        • Hang drywall on lower half
      • Other things
        • Freshen up camp sign
        • Prep and paint gate
      • Larger groups
        • Rake
        • Mulching brush
